U-15 Predators Boys win National Championship

On July 31 in Ft. Wayne Indiana the U-15 Springfield Predators boys’ basketball team won the 2009 USSSA National Championship. The Springfield based team went undefeated beating teams from Michigan, South Carolina, Ohio, Indiana and Toronto Canada to win the championship. Everett Clemons from Springfield was named tournament MVP. Team members include Thalamus Alexander, Peter Bremhorst, Everett Clemons, Terrence Davis, Austin Eagleton, Will Edge, Austin Kirby and Elan Shuford. The boys are coached by Blake Lucas and Jim Bremhorst. The Predators are locally hosted by the Gym in Springfield.
