Coach Pingeton says, "Jaylynn can do a little bit of everything. She is very versatile, she will be a strong perimeter player for us that can also create shots for herself in the low post. She has an excellent understanding of the game and has the ability to make everyone around her better.
Stewart, a 5-foot-10 guard/forward, is a three-year starter at Taylorville High School in Taylorville, Ill. She has guided the Tornadoes to back-to-back Center State 8 Conference championships and a combined 27-1 conference record. As a junior, she averaged 8.7 ppg, 3.4 rpg and had a team-best 93 assists. She received all-conference and special mention all-state recognition in 2008. Stewart plays AAU for the Central Illinois Predators and earned USJN All-Star honors at the Gateway Challenge and the Great American Showcase last summer.
